The Vipers mite major team went 4-0 on the weekend at the Cyclones MLK Classic and won the Championship game 10-3 over the New England Jets.  The team started strong on Friday with an opening game 6-2 win over the New England Jets then followed up with a hard fought 3-2 win over the New England Bulldogs.  The Vipers finished the round robin with a 12-1 win over the New Hampshire Avalanche.

Earlier in the fall, Coach Russo and O’leary took their young squad to the highly competitive Springfield Pics Fall Classic and the Vipers had great success going 2-1-1 overall with wins over the Greater Boston Jr Bruins and New England Jr Falcons.  In the game of the tournament, the Vipers tied eventual tournament champion East Coast Express of New Brunswick Canada in a 1-1 classic.  After securing the number one seed, the squad lost in the semifinal 7-4 to the Assabet Valley Patriots Elite.

Over Christmas break, the 08’s made it to the finals of the Top Gun tournament where they fell to the Valley Jr Warriors Elite.  In round robin play, the team beat Advantage Ice and Marblehead while skating to a 3-3 tie vs East Coast Wizards Elite and 2-2 tie vs Top Gun Elite.

The EHF game cancelation policy due to inclement weather

With the winter season upon us the EHF wanted to remind everyone of our game cancelation policy due to inclement weather

EHF WEATHER CANCELLATION POLICY

League games will be played unless there is an announcement made on FEDHOCKEY.com canceling games league-wide. If a league wide cancellation has not been announced but a team feels it is unsafe to travel, they must contact their organization’s director to seek league approval for canceling their game. Coaches do not have the authority to cancel games. If a team does not show for a game without prior league approval, the game will be recorded as a forfeit and that team/organization will be subject to fines. The EHF cares about the safety of its families, so a coach's cancellation request will not be unreasonably withheld.

We have recieved numerous calls and emails asking for ways to help Nathan and his family.  As a family this exactly the type of selflessness and caring that we hope to instill in all of our children.    

As a program, we are united to support Nathan and his family while they battle Lymphoma. 

The NATHAN STRONG 31 wristbands will be available at the Parent Appreciation Night. 

All funds raised will be benfitting Nathan and his family.        

The 7th annual Vipers Parent Appreciation Night at Kowloon Restaurant is scheduled for: Thursday, November 17th, 2016 @ 6:30pm.  

Dinner and Entertainment will be provided by the Vipers.  Cash Bar.  Dinner will be served at 7pm which will be followed by a Comedy Show.  This is an adult-only event.

For anyone that missed individual/team pictures last week, the photographer will be at Hockeytown on Thursday 9/1 between 3:30 - 6:30p. 

No purchase is required. 

Players are required to take a headshot and posed picture that will be digitally used for the team photo. 

Full equipment is required. 

Black game jerseys and socks will be worn.
