Kyle Lynch scored twice and Noah Maercklein had two assists as the Vipers beat the Red Rangers, 4-1 - and Evan Daddario had two goals and an assist, Maercklein posted 1-2-3, Kyle Hentosh had three assists, John Chamberlain also scored twice, Lynch had 1-1-2 and Aaron McDonnell and Zach Laramie shared the shutout in a 7-0 victory over the Crusaders; Tate Singleton came through with 1-2-3, Anthony Cosentino scored twice and Ty Turgeon had 1-1-2 in Seacoast's 8-2 win over the Wizards, who got 1-1-2 from Richard Murphy and two assists from Mario Cutone - and Byron Welch scored the winner with 3:14 left and Singleton scored twice as the Spartans edged the Monarchs, 4-3, Matt Quercia with two goals and Nate Rumford two assists in the loss;

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Noah Maercklein, Vipers
Saturday, February 18, 2012, 7:42PM
The Vipers would square off against a solid Bridgewater Bandits team who have been playing real well of late in their 3rd game of the EHF tourney, and they would need all 45 minutes in this one to pull out the tie scoring with the extra attacker on and with 29 seconds left in the game. This was a well played game that saw the Bandits go up 2-0 on a couple of defensive zone miscues by the Vipers after 1 period, but the Vipers would play much better over the final 2 periods winning both periods for the tie. Noah Maercklein would bang home a sweet dish from Brendan White who was camped behind the net to cut the lead in half after 2. And then with just 29 seconds left Kyle Lynch would make an incredible play, win a race dive and get the puck over to Maribito who would finish it with a backhand to the open shortside. Steven Tettoni would play well from the blueline and the line of Alex Delvento, Brendan White and Braden Haley did a fine job in the absence of Evan Daddario. The Vipers have put themselves in a must win situation aginst the Middlesex Islanders if they look to advance to the playoffs to defend their title.
