98Vipers Trapped by Rats, 3-4

Saturday, January 24, 2009, 5:00AM

Vipers Can't Come All the Way Back.  In the second game of the doubleheader just 1 hour later the Vipers spotted the Rats a lead of 4-1, closed it to 4-3 but could not get the equalizer as they fell 5-3 to the Rats. Kyle Hentosh started the scoring for the Vipers as he finished off a nice feed from Dante Maribito to cut the lead to 2-1, the Rats would extend their lead to 4-1 in the first before Heath King would cut the lead in half with the helper going to JT Chamberlain. JT would pull the Vipes to within 1 in the second period with an unassisted tally but thats as close as they would get as the rats scored a late goal on a pretty backhand over the shoulder of Aaron McDonnell who came on in relief of Andrew Krajeski
