98 Elites Slump Continues

Saturday, October 15, 2011, 3:09PM

With yet another disappointing effort turned in by the Vipers they have now dropped 3 out of their last 5 as an opportunistic NV Rats team capitalized for a 3-1 win over the home team. The Vipers held a decisive advantage in both shots on goal and territorial play but once again got away from the little things that they do that make them a successful team. The Vipers shook off a slow start in the first 5 minutes of the game and trailed 1-0, but started to wrestle control of the game away and began to apply heavy pressure, they were met with some fantastic Rat goaltending and thats the way it would go for the entire game. The Vipers cut the lead to 2-1 with 10 minutes left in the game but thats as close as they would get as 2 minutes later the Rats would drop in another soft goal. Ross Wahl continues to play some fine hockey for the Vipers.
